Privacy Policy

1. Who we are
   IncomeInvestors.com (“IncomeInvestors”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is operated by Moe Zulfiqar and John
   Whitefoot in Ontario, Canada. We publish research and analysis on dividend stocks, income ETFs and
   other income investments, along with videos, a podcast and email newsletters.
   This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and the
   choices you have. It applies to our website, our email newsletters, any paid subscriptions, and any other
   place that links to this policy (together, the “Services”). It does not apply to third-party websites or
   platforms we link to, such as YouTube, podcast apps or social media, which have their own policies.
   By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the
   Services.

2. Information we collect
   Information you give us

• Newsletter sign-up: your email address and, if you choose, your first name.
• Paid subscriptions: your name, email address, billing address and subscription details. Payments
  are handled by our payment processor [e.g. Stripe]; we do not receive or store your full card
  number.
• Contact forms, surveys and emails: your name, email address and anything you choose to write
  to us.
• Comments: if we allow comments, the name, email address and comment you submit. Your
  name and comment are published publicly.
  Information collected automatically
  When you visit the website or open our emails, we and our service providers automatically collect:
• device and browser type, operating system and language;
• IP address and approximate location (city or region, not your exact location);
• pages viewed, time on page, the site that referred you, and links clicked;
• whether you opened an email or clicked a link in it.
  We collect this through cookies, pixels and similar technologies (see section 5).
  Information from others
  We may receive limited information from partners, such as aggregate analytics from YouTube or
  podcast platforms, or confirmation from an affiliate partner that a referral took place. We do not buy
  email lists.

3. How we use information
   We use personal information to:

• send the newsletters, alerts and content you asked for;
• provide, manage and bill paid subscriptions, and give subscribers access to member content;
• reply to your questions and requests;
• understand how readers use the Services so we can improve our content, design and features;
• show advertising and measure how sponsored content and affiliate links perform, using
  aggregate data;
• protect the Services, prevent fraud and abuse, and enforce our terms;
• comply with the law and respond to lawful requests.
  We use information only for the purposes described here or purposes a reasonable person would
  expect. If we want to use it for a new purpose, we will ask for your consent where the law requires it.

4. Emails and newsletters
   We send newsletters only to people who sign up for them or who buy a subscription from us. When you
   sign up, you agree to receive the emails described on the sign-up form, which may include occasional
   messages about our own products and our sponsors’ content.
   Every email includes an unsubscribe link and our mailing address. You can unsubscribe at any time, and
   we will process the request within 10 business days. If you unsubscribe from marketing emails but keep
   a paid subscription, we will still send account and billing messages.
   We send our emails through [email platform, e.g. Kit, Beehiiv or Mailchimp], which processes your email
   address on our behalf. We follow Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) and the US CAN-SPAM Act.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising
   Cookies are small files stored in your browser. We and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar tools
   to:

• keep the site working, remember your preferences and keep subscribers signed in (essential);
• measure traffic and see which content is useful, for example with Google Analytics (analytics);
• show and measure ads, including ads based on your interests, if we run advertising on the site
  (advertising);
• track whether a visit came from one of our affiliate links (affiliate).
  Your choices
• Browser settings: you can block or delete cookies in your browser. Essential cookies are needed
  for sign-in and some site features.
• Cookie banner: where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before setting non-essential
  cookies, and you can change your choice at any time through the [Cookie settings] link in the
  site footer.
• Google: you can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on and
  manage Google ad personalization in My Ad Center.
• Interest-based ads: you can opt out through the Digital Advertising Alliance
  (optout.aboutads.info) in the US and the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada
  (youradchoices.ca).
• Global Privacy Control: where required by law, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from
  your browser as a request to opt out of targeted advertising.
  Opting out of interest-based ads means you will still see ads, but they will be less tailored to you.

6. How we share information
   We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or give our email list to anyone.
   We share personal information only in these situations:

• Service providers. Companies that help us run the Services, such as web hosting, our email
  platform, payment processing, analytics and customer support. They may use the information
  only to provide services to us and must protect it.
• Advertising and affiliate partners. When you visit the site or click an affiliate link, these partners
  may collect device and browsing information through their own cookies, as described in section

5. They do not receive your email address from us.

• Sponsors. Sponsored content is always labelled. Sponsors receive only aggregate results, such as
  total views or clicks, never your name or email address.
• Legal reasons. When we believe in good faith that the law, a court order or a government
  request requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of IncomeInvestors, our readers
  or others.
• Business transfers. If IncomeInvestors is involved in a merger, sale, financing, reorganization or
  sale of assets, personal information may be transferred to the new owner or investor as part of
  that transaction. The new owner will be required to honour this Privacy Policy for information
  collected under it.
• With your consent. In any other case where you have agreed to the sharing.

7. Public content, search engines and AI tools
   Our articles, analysis, videos and other published content are public. We make them available to search
   engines and AI tools so readers can find and cite our work. That public content contains no personal
   information about our subscribers.
   Anything you post publicly on the Services, such as a comment or a published reader question, may also
   be seen by others, indexed by search engines and read by AI tools. Please do not include personal or
   financial details in anything you post publicly.
   We never publish, share or make available to search engines or AI tools the private information we hold
   about you, such as your email address, subscription details or messages you send us.
8. Storage, transfers, retention and security
   Where information is stored. We are based in Canada, and some of our service providers store and
   process information in the United States and other countries. Information stored outside Canada is

subject to the laws of that country, and authorities there may be able to access it under those laws. By
using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred and stored this way.
How long we keep it. We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this
policy:

• newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep only your email address on a
  suppression list so we do not email you again;
• paid subscribers: for the life of the subscription, and billing records for as long as tax and
  accounting rules require (in Canada, generally six years);
• messages and support requests: as long as needed to deal with them and keep a reasonable
  record;
• analytics data: according to our analytics provider’s retention settings, typically 14 months.
  Security. We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, such as encrypted
  connections (HTTPS), access controls and reputable service providers, to protect personal information.
  No website, email or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a
  breach creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the authorities as the law
  requires.

9. Your rights and choices
   Wherever you live, you can:

• unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any email;
• ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy;
• ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
• ask us to delete your information, subject to records we must keep by law;
• withdraw your consent to our use of your information, which may mean we can no longer
  provide some Services.
  To make a request, email us at incomeinvestors1@gmail.com. We may need to confirm your identity
  before acting on a request, and we will respond within the time the law requires (generally 30 days). We
  will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights.
  Canada. We handle personal information in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic
  Documents Act (PIPEDA). If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the
  Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
  Quebec. Residents of Quebec have additional rights under Quebec’s privacy law, including the right to
  be told about the use of technology that identifies, locates or profiles you, and to have such features
  turned off by default. Our person in charge of the protection of personal information can be reached at
  the contact details in section 10. You may also contact the Commission d’accès à l’information du
  Québec.
  United States. Depending on your state (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and
  others with consumer privacy laws), you may have the right to know, access, correct and delete personal
  information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information for targeted advertising.

We do not sell personal information for money. To opt out of targeted advertising, use the choices in
section 5 or email us. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, and you may
appeal a decision by replying to our response.
European Union and United Kingdom. If you are in the EU or UK, we process your information based on
your consent (for example, newsletter sign-ups and non-essential cookies), to perform a contract with
you (paid subscriptions), and for our legitimate interests in running and improving the Services. You also
have the right to object to processing, to data portability and to complain to your local data protection
authority.

10. Other important information
Children. The Services are meant for adults and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly
collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal
information, contact us and we will delete it.
Third-party links and embedded content. Our pages link to other websites and include embedded
content, such as YouTube videos and podcast players. Those services may collect information about you
under their own privacy policies, even if you do not click on them. We are not responsible for the privacy
practices of third parties.
Not investment advice. Our content is for information and education only. See our [Disclaimer] and
[Terms of Use] for details.
Changes to this policy. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will
change the effective date at the top. If we make a significant change, we will give notice on the website
or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Services after a change means you accept the
updated policy.
